We are Juan and Rael, as parents of three young children we saw a gap in the way schools and communities prepare kids for the real world. While academics are essential, there are few spaces where children can practice confidence, communication, teamwork, and resilience in a structured, supportive way.
TWIST Leadership Academy was born to fill that gap. Every program is designed to be fun, hands-on, and memorable—while building real skills that last a lifetime.
At TWIST Leadership Academy, we believe leadership isn’t reserved for adulthood—it’s a skill that can and should be nurtured from a young age. When children learn to lead themselves and others early in life, they grow up more confident, resilient, and ready to take on challenges.
That belief inspired us to create TWIST, as a space where children don’t just learn, but truly experience leadership and up skill their game in life.
Our passion for youth leadership comes from our own life stories.
School & University Leadership: We both held leadership positions throughout school and university—serving on student councils, leading clubs and societies, and mentoring our peers. These early experiences taught us that leadership is learned through practice, responsibility, and encouragement.
Professional Leadership: In our careers, Juan has led multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering multimillion-dollar projects, while Rael has guided teams in education, coaching, and business initiatives. Their shared background includes managing people, leading projects, and helping others grow into leadership roles.
Learning from the World’s Best: Beyond our own achievements, we have invested in training with some of the most respected leadership thinkers and mentors in the world, just to mention few, Tony Robbins, Simon Sinek, Jay Shetty, and others. These experiences shaped our teaching approach, blending global leadership principles with child-friendly, practical methods.
We are certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Life Coaching, giving us a toolkit of proven strategies to help young people thrive.
